Prescription x Non-Prescription Colored Contact Lenses

Colored contact lenses are becoming increasingly popular, both among young people and adults. Thanks to them, you can quickly and effectively change the colour of your eyes and create an original look. There are two basic types of coloured lenses - prescription and non prescription (dioptric and non-dioptric). 

Prescription colored lenses are for those who need to correct their vision. Their main purpose is to correct refractive errors of the eye such as nearsightedness, farsightedness, astigmatism or presbyopia. Dioptric colored lenses, however, in addition to correcting vision, also have an aesthetic effect - they change the color of the eyes.

On the other hand, non-prescription colored lenses serve only aesthetic purposes. They are suitable for those who have no refractive errors and just want to change the colour of their eyes. These lenses have no dioptric value and do not correct vision.

Both variants come in a wide range of colours and shades, so there really is something for everyone.

It is also important to mention that colored lenses, like regular contact lenses, require proper care and hygiene. They need to be cleaned regularly and kept in a disinfectant solution. It is also essential to have clean hands before handling the lenses.
